Welcome to the Blog!

We're set to depart on Saturday, May 16th, with a return date of Friday, May 29th. Between those dates will be a whirlwind of a tour, with many performances scheduled at various American Military installations.

Hopefully, I will be able to post on a fairly regular basis. Feel free to add comments to the posts - that will make it more fun for everyone!

Being able to bring a 'slice of home' to our soldiers is an opportunity of a lifetime, and I would be remiss if I hadn't come up with a way to share the experience with family and friends. Beyond entertaining the soldiers, I hope to learn as much as possible about their particular missions, duties, and their daily lives.

Witnessing first-hand how America is assisting the general public in these countries is something that I'm very excited about. Absorbing local culture at all of our destinations will also be a huge lesson. I pray that I have enough room in my brain for everything that I'm about to experience. (if I could purge something to make room, I believe that memories of high school algebra would be the first to go, followed closely by all memories associated with working at a truck wash for 6 months after college)

Sons and little brothers - don't worry - I will try to include descriptions of all the various flying machines that I find myself riding in.

In addition, be sure to check out Matt's blog at mattposs.com for his updates.

Enjoy, and we'll see you upon our return.
